Browning BAR Safari Grade Rifle - Age & Identification

Hello Jim, I have a Browning safari grade rifle in 30-06 cal, ser no is 330CS01044, it has a 24 ins barrel( original), engraving on hinged magazine plate,It seems to have the Sako adjustable trigger. It has"made in Belgium" on barrel. Any thoughts on age, thanks Will.

I believe you are talking about a Browning BAR rifle in the Safari Grade rather than a bolt action. I would recommend going to Browning.com and look at the "date my firearm" section under the service department. There you will find the letter codes for the later Brownings. I am not very familiar with the BARS, but I believe the CS in the serial number is the letters your will need to cross match with Browning.
