are guns from this company (now out of business) worth buying?  I have a side by side double barrel 410 from my youth and have the opportunity to purchase a 12 gauge version for 250$

These guns were imported from various over-seas sources. I personally knew Mr. Davidson and his family, I own several of his firearms that came directly from him. They are good Utility grade guns, nothing fancy but they work. 250 dollars is about what they are worth, you won't make any money off the gun buying it at that price but the gun will likely do all you need to do.
