Big, loud, intimidating, cheap ammo, more accurate, you can use buck shot or Slugs, lots of knock down, reliable, longer range.

I am a colt 1911 guy, the only handgun is a .45 cal, any .45 is good, but you have to be good and hit with it for it to work.
