Walther pistol

I just inherited a Walther pistol from my uncle.  I am interested in the gun's history, value and anything else you could tell me....
On the Left side of the pistol, near the front is the WALTHER banner, behind that are 3 lines: (1) UNDER LICENSE OF,
(2) Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do, (3)modell PPK/S Cal 9mm kurz/.380 ACP.  On the Right side, near the front of the barrel are 2 lines: (1) INTERARMS, (2) Alexandria, Virginia, and behind that is the serial number beginning with S014xxx.  The serial number is also behind the trigger on the same side.  The pistol is stainless with black grips with the WALTHER banner at the top of the grips.  Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks!

What you have is a pistol made by Interarms of Alexandria, VA under the license of Carl Walther (the founder of the ppk, ppks, walther pistol lines). After the gun control act of 1968 you could not buy a walther ppk pistol because it did not meet the criteria of the GCA of 68'. In 1983 Interarms cut a deal with Walther to basically manufacture his pistols in the US and they found a way for it to meet standards of the 68' gun control act. They basically made a clone of the walther ppks and sold it under the walther name. Interarms went out of business not long after and Beretta USA bought their facilities and manufacturing plants to make the Beretta 92's and the Military version of that pistol, the M9. A Interarms PPKS in excellent condition may bring you 350-400 dollars. Most guns will fall into the "used but cared for" category and you can likely sell the gun for 250-300 dollars.
