Remington-Rand 1911A1 1943: Lanyard Loop Variation?

I have just got a nice Remington-Rand 1911 that looks to be all correct.The question I have is that it has no lanyard loop and the mainspring housing looks to be correct.Do you know if they made some 1911's with out the loop.Thanks in advance for any info.

All brands of 1911 do not have loop, it is normally just an added piece to the spring housing holder.  Here is a link to how a 1911 works, you can see the piece that hold the spring in and you can order one with a loop if you want.
