20 GAUGE RIVERSIDE ARMS DBL BL

Question
The usual hand-me-down ...
RIVERSIDE ARMS COMPANY
CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A.
--- PATENTED APRIL 20, 1916 ?br>
20 GAUGE  HAMMERLESS DOUBLE  SN  X11589

Chambers appear to be 2 ?inches
Barrel including chamber length 28 inches
Top sighting bead missing
Stock shattered & glued bits from age not from abuse

I am ret, on disability and have time to fix this old gun now.

I was wondering if there are sources for generic wood stocks I might whittle, file and sand on to get a stock on this old piece.  The but plate seems to be the original wooden one. But the stock is so old and britle it is falling to bits. Thanks for reading plea and extra happy if I can find some generic stock.  A gun smith of coarse said it would  be to expensive for him to repair the stock.
Not concerned with its value or age.  I would like to get a generic start rather than beginning with a block of wood. Still have some shells to use up on some paper targets that don't have any holes in them yet.   Gary

Answer
Gary,

Check out Bob's Gun Parts.  They are probably your best source...check this link.  You will need to copy and paste it into your browser.

I think you'll find exactly what you are looking for with these guys.  Also, since Riverside was owned by J. Stevens, you might want to check with these guys on model cross reference to be sure you are getting the right one for your shotgun...

Best regards,

Doug
