Crescent-Davis 16GA Hammerless Shotgun: History & Details

Question
what can you tell me about this gun hammerless, stamped 3699 dbl trigger

Answer
Curtis,

Crescent-Davis manufactured a line of utilitarian shotguns under the Crescent-Davis name between 1929 and 1931.  Savage Arms acquired Crescent-Davis in 1931, assembled guns from the remaining parts and sold them under the Crescent name.  In 1932, manufacture of the firearms moved to Chicopee Falls, MA.

For the most part, Crescent firearms are priced as shooters and are not considered collectable.  The version you have falls into this category.  Assuming your gun is in 100% working condition and has the original finish, the gun's value ranges from $100 in 80% condition to $195 in 100% (new in box) condition.

Not much more to tell...hope this gives you a little more info than you had.

Regards,

Doug
