Superposed 1962 Receiv
What would cause a gap on 1962 Belgian Superposed between the forend and receiver? It is on both sides.

I suspect the wood could be shrinking due to lack of moisture. Could it be you are keeping it in an environment that might be too dry?
Any chance the shotgun may have been restored with a different forend? You might consider e-mailing the Browning Gunsmiths at Arnold, Missouri. The shop there is very good to deal with and might be able to shed some light on the subject.
