Browning A-5s

Question
Could you tell me the year of manufacture on a couple of A-5's?  One is a Sweet Sixteen Serial Number S 42417, the other is a Light Twelve Serial Number 4G 34997.  Thanks for any info you might have.

Your Sweet Sixteen was made between June and December of 1955. The Light 12 was made in 1964. If you want a good read on the Browning A-5. I suggest you look at the book Browning Auto 5 Shotgun by H.M. Shirley and Anthony Vanderlinden. Very good information. Hope this helps.
