Cartridge Opinion

Hi Robert: What is your opinion of the 22-250 rifle cartridge ? I've heard/read
they are 'barrel burners'. I'm a target shooter and use 223, 243 and 308. Like I
need yet another rifle, right ? How is the ballistic performance and can it reach
out to 300yds. plus without a lot of holdover ? But mainly the burning rumor is
my concern.         Thanks........ Glenn

Hello Glenn, I've heard and read all the Hipe about the burned out barrels, Myself and friends have used them on
Coyote for many years now and I have never seen a burned  out
barrel.I guess if you put Thousands of rounds through one it
may burn out, but I haven't seen one yet. Like any Rifle
Bullet your hold over will depend upon what range you ZERO
your rifle for.I can tell you that if you hand load, keep your velocity for the 55 Gr.bullet at no more than 3600 FPS
we have had problems with bullet disintegration in flight at
higher velocity. I hope I have been of some help to you
