Springfield .22 Rifle Model 56: Age, Value & Commonality
Question I have a Springfield .22 riffle made by J.Stevens model #56. I was wondering if you knew about how old it is, and is it a common riffle.
Answer David,
It was made between 1920 and 1942. It is not what I would refer to as a "rare" gun at all. It was manufactured as a quality utility rifle and in "good" condition would have a current retail value of approximately $125.
