Identifying and Repairing a 1937 .30 Caliber Pistol - Mauser Luger?
Question
My father-in-Law died recently and left me a 30 cal. 1937 pistol. the grip has a star. 2 mags, holster, springs are shot, because he left ammo in clips. gun fired, but unreliable because of feed. What is this and where do I get parts??
Answer
Sounds like a Mauser Luger, if so the star should be a 5 pointed french star that they used on the grip. You would have to check with the surplus/relic collectors either in person or through the world wide web. Those parts are not manufactured anymore, however there is a large group of people that collect these type of guns and swap/sell parts that are needed. Best of luck!
