Hawes Army Model

Question
I have a Hawes 44 Army Model, made in Italy, with an inscribed cylinder. The cylinder won't lock into position, so of course I've never attempted to fire it. Will a gunsmith know how to rectify this problem? And would it be worth spending the money to fix it? Or is this just junk?

Answer
Dan,

Yes, a gunsmith certainly should be able to fix this problem. As far as it being "worth fixing" I would get it to a gunsmith and after inspecting it, reqiest a estimate  of the repair. If in your opinion the cost is too close to the cost of purchasing another revolver, I probably would pass on fixing it and consider purchasing another.

Without knowing what it will cost you Dan, I won't go so far as to say "its junk", that will be your call based upon $$.

Thanks for the question Dan.
