I just picked up 3 guns this last weekend, and I don't really know to much about them.  I was hoping after reading some of the other Q&A's that you could give me any info...  Here they are... Winchester model 12 12ga s# 855806   Winchester model 94 30-30 s#4086776  and lastly Savage 24 series s 20ga s# D058923 the Savage is a double barrel with a 20ga on bottom and a .22 on top... Thanks for any help.

Answer
Hi Brian,

Your model 12 was manufactured in 1939. It was designed by T.C. Johnson and was the first slide-action hammerless shotgun built by Winchester. The gun was manufactured for over 50 years with over 1,900,000 sold. Model 12s are of the take down variety of shotguns. The actual original product line was officially dropped in 1963 but a special model was available via Winchester's Custom Shop until 1979.

The model 12 was made in a wide variety of models The Standard Grade model 12 in "good" condition has an approximate retail value of $300 to $400. There are over half a dozen various models and the base price begins with the Standard and goes up from there.

Your Winchester model 94 was manufactured in 1973. All post 1964 model 12s began with the serial number 2700000. They were chambered in .30-30, 7-30 Waters, and in .44 Magnum cartridges. They were available in 20" or 24" barrels with a 7 round tubular magazine.

A standard model 94 in .30-30 in "good" condition has a retail value of between $150 and $225.

The Savage double model 24 was an external hammer combo rifle/shotgun with 24" barrels. They were blue steel with walnut stock and were manufactured from 1950 to 1965. The "standard" chambering was .22 by .410. There were various versions of the model 24 and features and retail value will vary accordingly.

A model 24 in a standard version chambered for .22/20ga. in "good" condition has a retail value of $125 to $150.

Thanks for the question/s.
