CAL.36 NAVY MODEL - MADE IN ITALY

My uncle gave me a hand gun it is a 36 cal.navy model black powder pistol made in italy the serial # is 40622. I was wondering if you could tell me when it was made where it came from and how much it is worth. I took some pictures of it but I cant attach them here if you want to see it you could send me an email adress to send them to.it also says PATENT N on the part that spins. :)it has stamps in it one is a star in a circle that says PN undre it and another is a square with AD in itit has another I am not sure what it is. please let me know soon.

A lot of manufacturers have begun making replica models of vintage guns as of late, though the practice has long been going on. The original Colt Navy Model was a fairly important, historic handgun and a lot of replicas have been made.

Unfortunately, vintage blackpowder arms aren't my specialty in general, and I'm especially not familiar with replica guns.

I'd take the firearm in to a gunsmith and have him look it over. He might be able to tell you more about it. If you can determine the manufacturer, most have web sites.
