thanks so much

Question
hey Scott again...thank you so much for answering my question and really quick too... and you know what? you really got me thinking about how dedicated i am about skating... i am not still very sure, but i am most positive that i really like it because i was going down this hill, well not big one since im starting out, and how good it felt and how happy i was even for only 10 seconds...  and yes i will do and save up money and try to build a ramp... i Do work for my family and i get allowence per week, and since i do have bad habit of spending money on whatever i see and like if i have money, this will be good time to break my habit and actually save money to get something useful and helpful...

and your answer really touched me and got me really pumped about skateboarding...

and lastly ...one more question...
how should i practice? i mean like what things..because you know there is only flat road that goes straight..i mean i should probably learn to ride better with balancing and stuff and try to do an ollie... oh ...well i guess i just answered for my question, but still its good to get an advice from an expert...so got any idea?

and well thanks so much again... you practically saved my life!

Sincerely Yeonsil

Answer
No problem, you caught me while I'm online.  Yes that 10 sec is a big motivator to keep going.

Practice as much as possible! Learn how to manual (balance on your back or front trucks only)  Learn how to ollie, turn and carve, boneless, no-comply, and whatever else you can do on flatland.  Watch Matt Hensley's part in the first H-Street video - most of it done on flat ground and junky street ramps. (That's an old video BTW.)

Get some old cardboard boxes and practice ollieing over them, anything, but keep practicing.  The more comfortable you are on your board the more you can do on it.
