learning roller skating

Question
I live in Marietta near Woodstock, I'd like to learn the proper way to skate, skate backwards and some other skating stuff, would you please recommend a coach. I am available Sun, Mon, and Tue anytime.
Thanks, Susan

Answer
Hi Susan,
Off hand I can't give you a particular coaches name but what I would suggest, if you're a new skater, is to find a local rink and sign up for a group class.

Private lessons are expensive and that's not what you need right now.  Down the road, once have the basic skills mastered, then I would recommend private lessons.

Group classes are very inexpensive and will teach you how to go forward, backward, find your balance point plus how to cross your feet while going around corner and much more.

Some rinks have morning session with a class before the session and most have classes either during the week or on the weekends.  I really feel this is your best bet for now.  Otherwise you'd be spending a lot of money for something they could teach you in these classes.

If I can help any further, please feel free to contact me again.
