Beginner roller blading

Question
How do I start roller blading.  I am middle aged, married and my daughter who's 14 has started to roller blade - I don't want to be left out - what is your best advice to me?

Answer
Best advice... hmm...

First, rent equipment before buying, just to be sure that this is what you want to do.

If you have ice skated or roller skated, then you are half-way there and should be able to work up to inline, a little at a time.

You could take a lesson or a basics course from a local shop or somewhere like http://www.robichons.com/

Be sure to stretch well, wear full protective gear, including helmet,  and master the basics before trying to keep up with your child. Know how to stop confidently, that is the key, as well as good balance on either foot.

Do a search on google for shops and lessons in your area.

I hope that this is a good starting tip for you.
