Question
Hello

Can you please tell me the difference between these 2 boots
Mens Nordica Speedmachine 8 and Mens Nordica Sportmachine 8 Ski Boots?

Has it got the same width for the foot and heel?

thanks
Sara

Answer
Dear Sara --

I cannot answer your question, because I cannot find out from Nordica if these two boots are built on the same last.  The Speed machine is a boot that will require a much more skilled skier, if they are to ski well.  They have a stiffer flex and will require more precision for good skiing.

I have provided a synopsis of what each boot can do below.

Speedmachine 8 -- Designed for advanced to Expert level skiers skiing the front side of the mountain, the SPEEDMACHINE SERIES provides for performance on groomed snow without sacrificing comfort. Benefits: The highest level of energy transmission achieved through closer fitting lasts, stiffer flexing structures and heat moldable liners. Flex:100, HP Slide, Gel Tongue, Adjustable canting, STRAP 35mm, Quick Set rear spoiler, Precision Fit

Sportmachine 8 -- has technology which trickles down from the top end boots. Nordica offers NFS (NATURAL FOOT STANCE) which is designed to put the feet in an abducted position by veering the foot towards the outside edge and using the heel as a central point of reference. This foot position provides faster turn initiation with stronger edge grip and better ski control throughout the entire turn, simply put, more performance, precision and better balance. Flex: 65, Adjustable cuff ratchet, Double canting, Flex adjuster, 30mm strap.

Please write back, if you have additional questions.
