Question
I'm going to purchase a Fischer RC4 RACE SC PRO RF SP 08/09.
I'm 1'71mts. and 65kgs.
I think in 1'65 for this model. I like short turns and out of piste.
What is your opinion about this model and my election?.
Thank you very much and greetings from Spain!!

Answer
Dear Alex --

You have selected an excellent ski for quick short carved turns.  The length is appropriate for your height and weight, although, if you were inclined to, you could go a little bit shorter, and still get good performance.

I am concerned with this ski for off-piste because you will have to be completely centered to ski it well in deep heavy snow.  It is a fairly narrow ski, and will not float as well as some of the "fatter" skis.  If you can afford more than one ski, I would recommend your Fischer selection for groomed mountains, amateur racing, and other ski adventures on-piste.  I would look for a shorter fatter ski for off-piste skiing.

Please write back if you have more questions, or want to discuss other ski alternatives.  I cannot wait to visit Spain!  Adios!
