Wide Calf ski boots?

2016/7/15 11:39:16

Question
Hello -

Not too many years ago I was a very, very good skier.  I last skied about 10 years ago and I have gained a lot of weight since that time.  While I am overweight, I am still  very physically active.  I am planning a ski trip in February and because of my weight, I have concerns about ski boots fitting my calves properly.  Can you suggest any wide calf ski boots for me?

Thank you,
Lori

Answer
hi Lori sorry for the delayed response

ski boots vary and the best advice i can give you is to go into a few shops and have a bootfitter show you what he has and then you'll have to try them on.

your foot length will determine the type of boot you can choose from as well as what they have in stock. [i have th problem that womens boots are too soft and mens boots dont come small enough].

i suggest you start shopping around in as many stores as you can and ask then what they can do to help the boot fit better on that part of your leg.

good luck
