QuestionQUESTION: I am in Cancun and lost the daggerboard for my Mistral Pandera
yesterday. Don't ask me how :(. I was wondering if you can give
me a source to replace such an old item. AS you know the board
is pretty much useless without it, and having driven 2000 miles
to get here from Texas I would like to find one. I saw your post back in 2008 with the same question. Kind regards.

You can try oceanairsports.com. Not sure if they would have one but they are the only resource I know of for older Mistral parts.

QUESTION: Unfortunately Ocean Air early on conceded that they wouldn't be able to help. I had seen them listed in your previous helpful asnwer so contacted them first. How about a different approach? Looking at an online ad for a Mistral Prodigy center board it at least appears very similar. The key difference is that it lacks the two retractable "buttons" that locked the daggerboard in the full in/out positions. If the pivot point is in the same location on the two daggerboards perhaps that would suffice. Thoughts? I have a pic of the entire rig with the now-missing daggerboard if it helps.

It is possible that www.bigwinds.com might have something to fit your board. Another possibility is www.gorgeperformance.com. I know that they have a lot of older gear tucked away in a back shed. You could also search ebay. Use windsurf, windsurfer, and windsurfing for searching as you will get different hits using each word separately. Look for a daggerboard that looks like the one in your picture. A variety of years and models should work on your board.
