Asthma & Exercise

Question
Here's the problem.  I have had moderate to severe asthma since I was a child.  At one point doctors thought I had Cystic Fibrosis.  What are the highest calorie/fat burning exercises that won't trigger my asthma? Please help!

Answer
One exercise that has often been recommended to asthma sufferers is swimming. Since many asthmatics react to contaminants in air with normal to dry humidity levels, the saturated air just above the surface of water has been thought to reduce this sensitivity. You might try it to see how it feels. Swimming is great exercise for the whole body and should burn plenty of calories.

There is no guarantee that any exercise won't trigger your asthma if there are contaminants in the air. You just have to carefully try different exercises. Anything you can do will improve your overall health.
