What to do when walking is causing rash?

Question
 Hi,
I start to walk  4 and half mile 4 times week  last 2 weeks  but now I am having this problem, when I walk I get rash  on the inside of my leg from friction. I leave in north florida where its been very hot.
I am trying to loose weight too. I am 36 y.y. 5"2 and I have a diet of 1400 calorie day.
I am not seen  much change in 2 weeks,I am eating very healthy and keeping up the walk.
Please any advice would be great.

Answer
There is a product called Body Glide that is very good for this problem. You should be able to find it at a running specialty store, along with good quality shoes.

I am concerned about your low-calorie diet not taking weight off. Are you sure it is only 1400? If you could walk every day, it might help. Also, I would advise you not to consume too few calories, with 1500 calories the lower limit. Too little food can cause your body to go into starvation mode, which slows down your metabolism, making it even harder to lose weight.

A better measure of progress would be checking your body fat percentage. It could be that you are losing fat, but gaining about the same amount of muscle at the same time.
