Question
in short, what sorts of roads am i allowed to ride on when i tour? are there different rules in different states? i plan a north and south carolina route as well as georgia into florida. who should i contact for cycling info. in those states? thanks a lot for your time.

Answer
You cannot ride on any Interstate or limited access highway. Other then that you should be OK from a legal standpoint. Try www.bikelib.org for more specifics about laws and help with routes.

Hope this helps,
