Troubleshooting Steering Issues on a 1992 Bayliner Ciera Boat
Question
I just bought a 1992 Bayliner Ciera 20 ft. fiberglass boat with the walk-around cuddy and it also has a 150 hp Force outboard. I love the boat but, it seems to steer consistantly hard. I have greased the all of the grease certs on the motor but it is still hard to steer. Can you offer any advice. Thanks Bill
Answer
Hi Bill...thanks for selecting the undersigned to respond to your question.
Although you checked the hydraulics & connections at the engine, it might be worthwhile to inspect the steering wheel portion. It just may be that the entire cable is sufficiently deteriorated that it ought to be replaced.
