Evinrude 130 Reverse Tilt Issue: Troubleshooting & Potential Solutions
Question
I have twin Evinrude 130's. When giving throttle in reverse the motor will begin to raise from the water. All fluid levels are fine. Any ideas?
Answer
Hi Steve...Thanks for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question.
I'm not a mechanic, but if the engines are equipped with power tilt/trim, it just may be the force or thrust of acceleration in reverse is sufficient to push the hydraulic arms inward. If that is the case, the arms could be worn. I recommend you consult a qualified marine mechanic to do the trouble-shooting.
