Question
Greeting Mr. Marine,
Bought a nice 89 Lowe 170 with blown 89 40hp Johnson with power trim. Do you know how I can find out which motors are compatible with the throttle/steering controls and power trim unit? Thanks, Kurt

Answer
Hi Kurt...Thank you for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question.

I recommend you consult a Johnson/Evinrude dealer. They'll be able to advise, based on your boat's capacity plate, the max. amount of hp your boat can safely manage, and whether the current controls will adapt or not.
