free cantering benefits

Question
hello sir. what are the benefits for my horse if i free canter him?

Answer
HI  WELL I ALWAYS WOULD GALLOP MY HORSES 2 1/2 MILES A DAY WHILE IN TRAINING TO RACE. TROTTING WOULD BE FOR A WHO NEEDED TO BE LIGHTLY TRAINED OR A NERVOUS HORSE THAT MIGHT BE TOO HARD TO GALLOP 2 1/2 MILES. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOU TRAIN EVERY HORSE ACCORDINGLY TO THAT HORSES WAY OF RUNNING. AS THE HORSES GET OLDER AND COME UP WITH DIFFERENT PROBLEMS, THEN YOU CUT BACK ON HEAVY TRAINING .  THANKS ED HESS
