JOCKEY CANNOT OWN RACEHORSE

2016/7/15 11:23:05

Question
HI. I HAVEN'T SEEN A JOCKEY OWNING A RACEHORSE. CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME THE REASON?

Answer
A jockey can own a race horse in some jurisdictions, but there are many rules restricting the jockey from riding other owner's horses. I know many riders who own horses, but they just race them in other people's name. I have only seen one time when the rider, owner, and trainer was the same in the program. He had his own horses he trained and rode.
