QUESTION: hello sir, may i know the purpose of using a full cheek snaffle bit? on which type of horse should i use a full cheek snaffle bit?

ANSWER: HI --I WOULD THINK IT WOULD HELP YOU CONTROL THE HORSE MORE AND IT IS NOT A SEVERE BIT TO USE. JUST A BASIC BIT THAT IS NOT HARSH ON THE HORSE. IT IS UP TO THE TRAINER AND JOCKEY WHICH BIT THEY THINK WILL DO THE BEST JOB ON EACH HORSE. THANKS ED HESS

QUESTION: sir, i heard that full cheek snaffles are used for horses which tilt their head and gallop. is it true??

Answer
HI TILTING THE HEAD COULD BE FROM ANY OF MANY PROBLEMS THE HORSE MAY HAVE. ESPECIALLY BAD TEETH OR WOLF TEETH THAT IS BOTHERING THEM. WHEN YOU PUT THE BIT IN THEIR MOUTH, THAT TOUCHES THE TEETH AND THUS MAY CAUSE THE TILTING OF THE HEAD. THANKS ED HESS
