hello sir, why to make a horse drink few sips of water after a race or a hard workout??

HI --- AFTER A HARD RACE OR WORKOUT, YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO COOL THE HORSE DOWN SLOWLY BECAUSE OF HOW HOT THE HORSE IS. A HOT HORSE CAN FOUNDER FROM A LOT OF THINGS, BUT TOO MUCH WATER AFTER A HARD RACE OR WORKOUT CAN CAUSE THAT Exact problem. THANKS ED HESS
