HI-- THE BIB MARTINGALE JUST HAS THE BIB SHAPED PIECE OF LEATHER PROB TO HOLD THE REINS STRAIGHT WHILE GALLOPING AND WILL KEEP THE HORSE FROM THROWING IT'S HEAD TOO MUCH. THE RUNNING MARTINGALE IS JUST A LEATHER NECK RING WHICH HOOKS UP TO THE GIRTH. THAT WILL KEEP THE SADDLE FROM SLIPPING DURING THE RACE. THANKS ED HESS
