thoroughbred trainer

2016/7/15 11:25:44

Question
I have a thoroughbred that will be 2 in April. We work with him almost everyday (Just Handling) I would like to find a trainer that would help me train him. I am willing to do all the work for his training but I am not a trainer nor do I really know what needs to be done. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Answer
hi - yes,  go to a race track near where you live and talk to some trainers as they can give you  the advise you are looking for. you could also find a training farm that will break your 2 year old for you and maybe you can get a job on that farm and work with your own horse, that way you will get your experience that you will need in the future. there is way too much to know about breaking a 2 year old for the race track for you to learn in a short time. you need to let a experienced race horse trainer on a breaking farm to break and train your 2 year old  so that you can send the horse to a race track to continue to train up to a race. there is no short cut in getting a 2 year broke and  ready to train and eventually get to a race track . hope that helps you  thanks.
