Question
started form the gate in 50.2 first time from gate, second time 52.2 , third work 52.4, forth work 54.4, what should we check for,he is a two year old gelding, has been at the track since june 09. thanks john

Answer
hi--  have you tried blinkers on the horse, as sometimes that will put his mind on running.also some times horses have problems in the rear end  that caused them to break slowly from the gate. you could check for stifle and hock problems. also most all 2 year olds have shin problems and polips in their throats and some times causes them to not breath properly during a race or workout. hope that helps you. thanks ED HESS
