Question
Dear Ed,
I have a horse 6 yrs old, winner of over $350,000 I would like to make a change in trainers. Current trainer is bad with communication and gets defensive. My friends and I have a great time watching however this puts a damper on things.  How do I get in touch with other trainers by phone? Mid Atlantic area

Answer
hi , well you will have to go to your present trainer and tell him that you are going to change trainers and pay him up to date and then there will be no problem when you change trainers.you can look around the track where your horse is stabled or look for another trainer at any other race track. you can call the stable gate and leave a message for that particular trainer to get back to you. as long as you are paid up with your present trainer there should be no problem  changing trainers in the future. hope this helps you thanks ED HESS
