ANSWER: Hi Cassandra,
As I have no idea what country you live in I cant do the research to find the information you requested.
I suggest you contact your nearest racing club and ask them how to trace the family.
They will direct you to your national racing association who keep a 'Stud Book'.
If you give them the name they will be able to find all you need to know.
Good luck,

QUESTION: I live in Colorado Springs, would you know a we site for the club?
Cassandra Bahnson
Answer
Hi Cassandra,
I don't know of any racing clubs in Colorado however here are some helpful references to search through.
www.jockeysite.com
www.ntra.com
www.jockeyclub.com
www.equibase.com
www.bloodstock.com
One or more of these will lead you to a site which has breeding/racing records going back at least 150 years!
You will learn a lot by doing this research.
In NZ it would be easy, I would login to www.arion.co.nz and just enter the horses name. They would then show me the breeding and racing record.
Have a look and enter Cate Moss, my current race horse. She will be running over 1300m next Saturday at Awapuni. You could watch the race on www.tab.co.nz.
