Question
Have ran Filly  6-6.5 furlongs  finishing 5th....comes like a train at the end of each race. Works 35 by herself. Has speed but cant figure out where to run her with the way she runs....stretch her out to 1 mile? She is running allowance. If I drop her down , they run the same times so I dont think that would help
Any advice you could give would help. She also gets out on the turns sometimes. have a bur on her...also had her vetted xrayed-you name it...cannot figure out what else to try

Answer
HI  WELL IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD HORSES THAT WOULD DO SIMILAR THINGS LIKE YOUR FILLIE. IF THEY WORK WELL IN THE AM AND RUN FROM OFF THE PACVE IN THHE AFTERNOON THEN I WOULD LOOK FOR A PROBLEM BEHIND. I DO NOT USUALLY WORK FILLIES TOO MUCH AS THEY ARE FUNNY TO TRAIN. AND WILL NOT RUN GOOD IF OVER TRAINED. SHE CAN WORK WELL IN THE AM BECAUSE SHE IS NOT GOING TOO FAR IN THE WORKOUT. THEY SOMETIMES BREAK FROM THE GATE AND RUN TILL THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE ,THEN REALY GET INTO IT.NOW MY NEXT IDEA DOES WORK BUT SOME PEOPLE DO NOT THINK SO. BRING A PHYSIC TO YOUR BARN AND HVE THAT PERSON READ THE FILLIE.THAT PERSON WILL TELL YOU WHAT THEY FEEL ABOUT THE FILLIE. I HAVE HAD IT DONE MANY TIMES AND HAVE WON MANY RACES OFF THE RESULTS. YOU CAN CHANGE EQUIPMENT, BUT I WOULD FIRST HAVE A PHYSIC LOOK AT HER . THEY MIGHT TELL YOU THAT SHE HAS A PROBLEM IN THE BACK END. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU  THANKS ed hess
