Question
Dear Ed.Iwould like to know if in your opinion that racehorses trained at a training center are at a disadvantage? And why?I would also like to kwow what you feel is an acceptable size training track for most of the training process(1/4,1/2....1mile)?Thank you for your time Al

Answer
hi al  well i have trained at all kinds of training centers and the race track too.  i have also trained out of my back yard , out of a 60 foot sand roping ring.  it really depends on your horse, as some horses do not need much training and other horses who need the actrual race track (1 mile) where they can gallop every day for 2 miles and work from the starting gate when needed. i prefer the race track to train myself, but i have won many a race from the farm too. i think young horses definately need the race track so they can get use to all the new thbings they need to learn.  hope that helps you  thanks ED HESS
