Question
Hi Ed can you help me please I train race horses and they keep loosing shoes in races, My brother says it doesn't matter if he looses his shoes in a race or not he said it didn't matter. and I beg to differ. can you tell me the answer   to this controversy. TX so much Jim Arnold

Answer
hi--  i do believe that horses should run in shoes. it does protect the foot and gives the horse so much more traction in the turns etc. i would use castor oil on the hoofs. you can buy it at any drug store . use it for the frog and the coronet band . it will make the foot hold the shoes better.  let me know how it works out for you. thanks ED HESS
