Turfgrass Varieties Used on US Race Tracks: A Comprehensive Overview

hello sir, since you are saying that type itself means grass, then what species of turf is grown on the racetrack in USA(as i believe there are many varieties of grass all over in the world)?

hi  sorry about not getting back to you sooner on this question.. each track and state has their own variety of grass seeds that they plant for a great turf course. some grass grows better in the heat and some other seeds grow better in a cooler climate, so i am not sure which seeds grow the best grass for racing. thanks ED HESS
