What are some of the traditional conditioning/training methods that are used for a racehorse?

hi jessica   well we always would feed very well and always make the horse go thru a rugged training  program. start by training at least 3 months before a race 30 days of galloping then 30 days of galloping but have a work out every week starting at 3/8  work  a 1.4 mile work a 5/8 of a mile wotk and a 3/4 of a mile work. then one more mont of galloping  before the race. a well balanced feeding program. and alwyas leg work  foot care  every 6 months you need the tooth ferry to come check the teeth and every 2 monts you have to worm them. and of course  plenty of tlc..  hope this helps you.
