Front upper thigh pain

2016/7/22 10:05:11

Question
Hello sir,
Am Nick and am in over weight category. So, i thought split running will be the way to work out the body fats. There is no pain or whatsoever when i walk or jog, but when i start sprinting my front upper thigh is paining. I can hardly sprint over 40m or 50m. I do the warm up and cool exercise on the day of work out. I work out every alternate days. And am getting this pain for last one week. So any remedies? your suggestions?

Answer
I'm sorry to hear about your pain Nick.  This could be caused from several things. Here are 2 suggestions.

1) Run faster than your jog, but slower than what causes pain. You may just be doing too much too soon.

2) Change your body position when running. Try running taller. Try lengthening your stride. Try hitting the ground with a different part of your foot. Try loosening your arms when you run. Try a different surface.

Let me know if any of these change your pain. If it doesn't change your pain then I have other suggestions.
