Question
hi John
ive been training for full marathon since march of this yr.however 3wks ago started having a bad knee pain while going down hill/stairs. i have been in therapy and paying alot of money but see no results. the marathon is coming sunday but it tried yesterday and couldnt even do 2miles on the treadmill before the knee started getting irritated. the pain is mostly on the side and sometimes on top part of the knee. its my right knee. any suggestion? appreciate your input. thanks

Answer
Hi Marathoner
I'm quite sure you developed some tracking and alignment issues which can happen quite easily. With 3 days to go the best thing you could do at this point is a 45 minute easy up right stationary bike workout today with medium tension and med to high rpm.Friday test it with a 20 min easy jog.I use the bike all the time with clients to correct those issues, but whether or not it will correct with one workout i don't know.It is possible this could do the trick. If you want to call me here in albuquerque NM to discuss this your welcome anytime.Go to site for contact.

All the best

John
