College Runner

Question
So I run for a college cross country and track and field team and am in my junior year. I'm very dedicated to trying to run my fastest and do all the things I'm aware of to improve (i.e. good diet, plenty of sleep, good hydration). Still in my races I have improved marginally since my senior year in High School. I was able to run 3200 in 9:48 and 5k in 16:15 and now my PR in the 8k is 26:42. My workouts have improved tremendously I can now run 70 minutes at 5:45 pace and do 18x400@ 75 seconds per 400. I never would've been able to do that in high school. But still my races don't seem to reflect the change in my workouts. I know this isn't very much information but my coach is confused too. Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Greg
Your right i would need more information and ask you a number of questions. It would be a lot easier to discuss this over the phone to get the necessary clarity and pin point focus on your training etc.Would it be possible for you to call me here in albuquerque NM any time to go over this?Just go to my site for contact page.I look forward to your response Greg.

All the best

John
