Question
hello,
my question is from a health stand point.

i run about 5 miles a day, 5-6 days a week. i run outside, i dont like treadmills.  i work fulltime and go to school full time, so i dont always have a lot of time to run.

on noraml days, i get a nice jog with a couple mile walk that last 2 hours. now, when im in a hurry, i do the same distance in about 30-40 mintues.

heart wise/health wise, is it more benifial to run long period slow or faster?

thanks:)

Answer
Hi Garrett
The number one thing that your doing right is getting it done 5 to 6 days a week.Your heart does not know whether your on a treadmill or the roads. The most important thing is fit it in when you can with your schedule.Consistency is the most important thing not how fast or long just getting it done.I admire you for your concern for thinking about this subject.Get in touch or call any time with your concerns.

All the best

John
