breathing

Question
Hi John.  I've begun to train for a marathon in January and am having difficulties with a cramp in my side.  It appears to be associated with my breathing "technique."  Currently, I exhale every other left step (which is what was recommended to me from an associate runner).  Is this method correct?  I'm having these side cramps on both my long and short runs; its beginning to impact my training.  Any suggestions?  Many thanks!

Answer
Hi Carly
The first thing i need from you is your BIO in regards to your  training and your program  as miles per week, diet, date of marathon....And past history of racing and what distance. To answer your question......Your breathing has to be directly related to your fitness level.Forget your associate runner.I will work with you for your marathon in january.Get In touch.

All the best

John
