persistently sore sartorius

Question
QUESTION: I'm 72, fit, 28-years of 5-6 days-a-week runs for health. Still doing slow, 1,000-mile years. A long period of daily 5's has suddenly been intruded upon by a first-time-sore sartorius, which stops me dependably at 2-3. Frustrated after about 6 weeks, having tried rest, ice, heat. Any suggestions? Thanks a million! Richard Gross (90 miles north of San Francisco on the Sonoma Coast)

ANSWER: Hi Richard
Your going to have to get involved in some rehap exercises, since your situation involves other groupes of muscles, not complicated ,but everythig in the infrastrucure works together.Instead of me writing it all out which would probably take me a month or two,and i no you don't want to wait that long to enjoy your beautifull coastal runs i have found a site with pictures, exercises with live illustrations by clicking on the individual muscle on the left. This is just a nessesary evil from time to time get the body back in balance and functioning like it was intended to.If you have any further questions richard just get in touch with me here in the desert at 6000ft at base of sandia peak albuquerque new mexico.By the way i just sold a house overlooking the ocean on bailey island maine.Your place sounds great. The key to your rehap success is a lot of patience and consistent work, but from the looks of your history this will be just walk on the coast and you will be flying again soon.

All the very best
