Starting to run at 45

Question
Hello,

I am 45 years old and having a hard time losing weight. I really would like to start running.  I haven't regularily exercised for over a year, and when I did, I walked on a treadmill.  Is it too late for me to take up running? If I do, what way do you suggest I do it?

Answer
Hi Michele
It is never to late to turn your life around and running will do it.It turned my life around 30 years ago.
Pick a goal of running 5 days a week for 45 minutes at a comfortable pace, and then move forward with a gradual walk jog utill you can cover the time of your goal at a confortable pace running and no walking. It really is that simple to get it done michele.I started just like this to get myself back in shape and been running 7 days a week for 30 years with many marathons under my belt. The real key is lots of patience and being consistent with your vision of where you want this to take you and willing to commit to.If you have any other questions michele just give a holler.

Don't look back
all the best

John
