running sneakers

Question
i usually run about an average of 3 miles a day, and i alternate from tred mill to the street.  So I finally bought a new pair of nike alvord IV sneakers.  I love the sneaker but i don't know what the problem could be on how it feels a little uncomfortable, could this be because they are new or do i need another size? all of my other nike running sneakers were the same size so i don't understand why this one would be bigger? what do you think?

Answer
Hi Lauren
Manufactures are allways revamping, therefore their is allways going to be some little changes from time to time. This could be the problem. Also, when the shoes are new,it takes a while for the shoe and insole to mold to your foot.It truly is a pain to buy new shoes..They also keep changing and tweaking the overall structure.I would suggest give your shoes little time to mold to your feet and then make a decision. Here is a good suggestion that i do and recomend to athletes. When you finely find a pair of shoes that feel good and fit properly and your sure of it,then buy 2 to 3 of that model. This way you don't have to go threw that painfull process again for probably a year depending on your milaege,You just alternate them so they don't dry rot. This system is worth the extra price up front.I personally buy 3 pairs. Also not all brands have the same sizing.I hope this gives you some insight Lauren.Any other questions get in touch.

The very best to you

John
